Together, let’s continue making The King’s Arms Watton a place where fun and charity go hand in hand.

In a heartwarming blend of local business support and personal passion, The King’s Arms, Watton, has proudly announced its sponsorship of the Watton Men’s Hockey Team’s goalkeeper kit. This is the second year that the pub has sponsored the team and it holds a special significance as the pub’s landlord, Harvey Woodyatt, shares a deep connection with the Watton Hockey Club.

Harvey has been a part of the Watton Hockey Club for many years, learned to play hockey at the club and represented the men’s team in the past years. He recently stepped back to focus on his growing family. This sponsorship is a testament to Harvey’s enduring love for hockey and his desire to give back to the club that has been a significant part of his life.

The collaboration was commemorated with a meeting between Harvey Woodyatt and Thomas Hassey, the Chairman of the Watton Hockey Club. This symbolic event, captured in a photograph, highlights the strong ties between The King’s Arms and the local sports community.

Harvey, speaking about the sponsorship, said, “Hockey has been a huge part of my life over the years. Sponsoring the goalkeeper’s kit is our way of showing support to the club that has given me so much. It’s an honour to contribute to the next generation of players.”

Thomas Hassey, Chairman of Watton Hockey Club, expressed his gratitude: “We are incredibly thankful for The King’s Arms’ sponsorship.”

The sponsored kit proudly bears the logo of The King’s Arms, Watton, symbolizing the pub’s commitment to local sports and community initiatives.

The King’s Arms Watton, is delighted to announce its sponsorship of the Watton Rugby Club‘s first team for 23/24 & 24/25 season.

In a show of ongoing support for local sports and community engagement, The King’s Arms Watton has proudly sponsored the team’s kit, fostering a strong bond between the pub and the rugby club. This partnership highlights the pub’s commitment to local initiatives and its role as a central hub for the Watton community.

A recent event at the Watton Rugby Club saw the landlord of The King’s Arms, Harvey Woodyatt, was presented with a kit from the captain of the first team, Richie Brand.

Harvey, the landlord of The King’s Arms, said, “We are thrilled to continue our support for the Watton Rugby Club. It’s more than just sponsoring a team; it’s about building a community and encouraging local sports. We’re proud to be part of this journey and look forward to more successes together.”
